Exhibition stand design and build at Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City

Completed FANN stand: Geven, aircraft interiors. A real project reference, not a DEC venue image.

Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai now hosts some of the region's largest exhibitions, including GITEX Global, Automechanika Dubai, World Health Expo and Gulfood. FANN designs and builds custom exhibition stands for exhibitors at the venue: the brief starts from your confirmed allocation and exhibitor manual, moves through 3D design visuals, and continues into fabrication at our Umm Al Quwain workshop, delivery, installation and dismantling. We are an independent Dubai contractor, not DEC, the show organiser or an appointed official contractor.

Start from the allocation and the exhibitor manual

Every stand at Dubai Exhibition Centre is governed by the show's exhibitor manual: build-up and dismantling windows, submission deadlines for drawings, height limits and service order cut-offs. Several large shows now span both DEC and Dubai World Trade Centre - your booking states which venue and hall you are in, and the logistics differ. Send us the venue, hall and stand number, dimensions, open sides and the current manual. Public show dates are not build-up, submission or dismantling deadlines; those come from your manual.

  • Allocation: venue (DEC or DWTC), hall, stand number, dimensions, open sides and any adjoining structures.
  • Submissions: stand drawings and risk documents to the organiser or venue by the stated deadline, with a named owner on our side.
  • Deadlines: service orders and approval submissions carry their own cut-off dates, separate from the show dates.

Venue services and appointing your own contractor

Utilities, rigging and venue services at DEC are ordered through the organiser's official manuals and order forms, with early-order deadlines. Exhibitors with space-only allocations commonly appoint their own stand contractor for a custom build; confirm the current rules, nomination forms and any venue approval steps for an independent contractor in your exhibitor manual. FANN works to whichever appointment route your show requires.

  • Utilities and services: power, water, compressed air, internet and rigging via the official order forms, with early-bird deadlines.
  • Rigging and overhead structures: only with venue approval and certified rigging points; plan loads and drawings early.
  • Double-deck stands: possible in principle, subject to venue approval, structural drawings and the manual's conditions.

A new venue with new logistics

Shows relocating from DWTC to DEC bring new hall layouts, access routes, marshalling and build-up patterns. We plan transport, installation crew scheduling and dismantling around the venue's actual access rules rather than assumptions carried over from previous editions at other venues.

One scoped contract from design to dismantling

FANN takes the agreed design into fabrication in our own workshop, then logistics, installation and dismantling at the venue. You get one scoped contract and one accountable team from concept to handover, with the itemised scope in writing before work begins.

Real FANN projects to inform your DEC brief

Documented completed projects from the FANN archive. The Geven stand was built for Aircraft Interiors Middle East; the same design-and-build process applies at DEC.

Frequently asked questions

Can FANN build my stand at Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City?

Yes. We design, fabricate and install custom exhibition stands at DEC as an independent Dubai contractor. The appointment route and any nomination forms come from your show's exhibitor manual; we work to whichever route the organiser requires.

My show spans DEC and DWTC - how does that change the stand plan?

World Health Expo Dubai and Gulfood 2027 both span the two venues. Your booking states which venue and hall you are in; access routes, marshalling, build-up patterns and service orders differ between them, so we plan logistics around your actual venue rather than assumptions from previous editions.

What should I send for a DEC stand proposal?

Send the show name, hall and stand number, dimensions, open sides, planned products and activities, brand assets and required dates. Include the current exhibitor manual and any floor plan or drawings already available.

Can you build a double-deck stand at DEC?

Double-deck structures are possible in principle, subject to venue approval, structural drawings and the conditions in the exhibitor manual. We prepare the drawings and manage the submission when the design calls for a second level.
